MANILA, Philippines — A Pasig City court denied the Senate panel on women’s request for former Bamban mayor Alice Guo to attend its probe scheduled for Tuesday.
Presiding Judge Annielyn Medes-Cabelis of Regional Trial Court Branch 167, in an order dated November 20, cited a scheduling conflict as the reason for the denial.
Article continues after this advertisement“[The request of the Senate panel on women] cannot be granted considering that there is a scheduled hearing on November 26, 2024 at 8:30 o’clock in the morning concerning the cases to which these accused are charged with,” the order read.
